CALGARY, AB, Feb. 6, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Southern Alberta’s powerhouse rock-country outfit The Prairie Dogz have taken their road-worn, battle-hardened experience and poured it into a brand-new release – a high-energy, harmony-fueled rendition of John Denver’s timeless classic “Country Roads.”
For The Prairie Dogz, this isn’t just another cover. It’s a heartfelt tribute to the small towns, rodeos, and communities that have embraced them, given them a stage, and shared in the music.
“Our weathered, road-worn, battle-hardened band searched for a way to share the unique gift that tens of thousands of kilometers of roads have shared with us. We hoped to share a glimpse of the small towns and communities and the people we have fallen in love with on our travels,” the band shares. “Every time we play ‘Country Roads,’ we are overcome with emotion when the crowd sings this iconic song with us in unison.”
